Alfredo "Alfred" Vargas Delgado, 74, returned to his heavenly home on April 1, 2015 after a valiant battle with cancer. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.

Alfred was born on March 21,1941 in San Antonio,TX to his parents Joe and Loraine Delgado. He married Mary Marian Torres on March 12,1965 in Oceanside, CA.

Alfred is survived by his wife Mary; his daughters Irene and Loraine; his son Alfredo; his sister Amalia; his 9 grandchildren and his two great granddaughters. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Joe and Refugio; and his sisters Eloisa and Josephine.

A memorial/viewing will take place on Wednesday April 8, 2015 at Oceanside Mortuary from 5 to 8pm. The reception will take place at the Oceanside Moose Lodge on Thursday April 9, 2015 from 1 to 4pm.
